About Us

Although, all the cupcakes are baked and decorated by myself, I have put 'About Us' as this whole thing started with my husband, Tom. After 10 years of dating, we finally tied the knot in June 2023, and started the next chapter of our lives. Unfortunately, the universe had a different plan.  

 

Tom was diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease last year (2023), only five months following our wedding. We were devastated! The lives we had planned for our future together was suddenly taken away from us.

 

It wasn't long before Tom wasn't able to work and started to need more help around the house. I am also a registered veterinary nurse. I work hard and I love my job, however, eventually we know Tom will need more and more help at home. I have always loved to bake and decorate cakes since I was a teenager, and overtime I have developed a love for cupcakes. Therefore, creating The Little Cupcake House and working from home, just made sense.

 

I still work part-time in practice and will continue to do so for as long as Tom's requirements allow me to, however, The Little Cupcake House allows me to continue to do something I love and care for my husband as well.

Now, after only starting The Little Cupcake House a few months ago, I have won bronze in the Buttercream Bloom Awards 2024 for my summer design and I was a runner up for my spring design. The first year I chose to enter. I was overwhelmed with everyone's support.
